Mason Dixon Photography is proud to present the first of our posters to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War Battle of Gettysburg. The 18" x 24" poster features an image of 'The Witness Tree' atop Devil's Den, at Gettysburg National Battlefield Park.
Devil's Den is one of the most popular locations for visitors to the battlefield. Located at the base of Little Round Top, it was the site of a great battle between the forces of the Union and Confederacy. The Witness Tree was standing at the time of the battle - thus its name - and it is one of very few original trees that still remain standing. Bearing witness to such pivotal historical events, The Witness Tree has come to have a special significance for Civil War enthusiasts, and an iconic presence on the Gettysburg landscape. For this reason, it is the perfect symbol to commemorate The Battle of Gettysburg's sesquicentennial.
